Various Works

In a deep enough sleep, the body can breathe under water or fly through the air.

These sculptures are the working outcomes of waking dreams, born under the same sign as their nocturnal counterparts.  That is, the same quickening of the mind that gives rise to a briefly sustained but absolute belief in some as yet untapped potential.  The trouble is that very few of the gems that one gleans in this mental state can survive the journey back across the threshold of the conscious mind.  Most of them burn up upon entering the solidifying atmosphere of mass and volume.  I could easily begin to resent the draconian laws of physics under which some of my best ideas have been thus incinerated.  But being handed so little choice in the matter is, of course, what makes one persevere.
